History of Uinta Recycling, Inc.
Uinta Recycling, Inc. (URI) began in 2004 as a Wyoming qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit origination.
This non-profit was established with the cooperation and support of Uinta County and the City of Evanston.
In 2008, the City of Evanston purchased a cardboard compactor.
In 2018, URI purchased a larger truck to get 25 to 30 pickups of recyclables a week.
The recycling center averages 70 visitors a month, from Evanston and nearby communities.
